I opened Portobello's in 1996 after growing up in the kitchens of two of Baton Rouge's premier Italian restaurants and learning the business from Miss Fannie and my dad. Since then, I've assembled a great management, service, and culinary team that executes our motto:

Being local, I'm able to keep a pulse on what we southerners enjoy. We've fused a simple twist on Italian cuisine with southern comfort foods that is prepared in-house daily with the freshest ingredients that we try to find locally.
